The old Italian legend of La Befana dates back to 1200 circa approximately.  She is Ital'ys Santa Claus.

On the 12th night of Christmas La Befana hears a knock on her door.  When she open the door she meets the 3 wise men who were following a star that would lead them to Jesus.  They got lost and invited LaBefana to join them looking for this special child.  She refused.  Later she had an "Epiphany" and realized the opportunity she had lost. She then decides to go look for Jesus herself.  She flies out into the night on her broomstick to look for Jesus. 

This charming old legend touched my heart .  I've retold the legend adding my own magical spin!

I invite you to meet LaBefana's magical world.  She lives in Castle De Spaghetti which is nestled in an enchanted forest in Italy's Alps.

My name is Laura Jursnick and I live in Parker Colorado.  I am both an artist and author.  I've loved to paint and draw as far back as I can remember.  So much joy has come from painting illustrations that are inspired from stories that dance around in my head.  In 2001, a stranger, by chance said to me , "Let the Magic Happen", those words had such a powerful effect on me.  I decided to create what my heart yearned to create and just let the magic happen!  It has been wonderful to allow myself to live the dream.  My wish is for you to let the magic happen in your life as well!
